My brother Ilya Lastovkin, age 22 in 2009, disappeared from his home in Stoughton, Massachusetts on November 12,2009 around 6:00am. He was scheduled to work that day at noon at a local store, but he missed work that day, and the next one, and all the following shifts. This is something that he would not normally do, as he was pretty happy with the extra hours that he was given. On Sunday, November 15th, Ilya was reported seen walking northbound along route 138 – this would have brought him toward the intersection of Interstate Highways 95 and 93 in Massachusetts. He could have hitchhiked to anywhere from that point, and that is why we ask for your help.

lya has a passion for creative writing, sci-fi and fantasy, playing guitar and composing electronic music. Shortly before his disappearance, Ilya made an album at home, which is a mix of rap and electronic tunes, which he also published. He has quite a few fans in the online fantasy writing and MySpace music community. Despite his natural creativity and musical talents, Ilya has always been very modest and even shy around people outside of his family and friends.
Many of his friends are musicians and they are very fond of him and his music, but he also made friends with many customers over the years of working at Family Dollar and The Movie Gallery in his hometown and they all speak highly of his good-natured and modest personality.
My brother is tall and slim, about 5'11" and no more than 6" and weighs about 135 pounds, with dark brown hair to his shoulders. It is usually coarse and messy and curls at the ends. His eyes are hazel/green. He was last seen wearing a black bubble jacket and brown leather boots, carrying a wallet on him. He tends to slouch and has a slight Russian accent.
Ilya has traveled to a handful of states with other people, but he always informed his mother about where he will be, but this time it was different. We spent holidays and family events without Ilya and had to lie to his grandmother that he went to visit a friend in another state to protect her from worrying too much. We believe that he needs our help, and we, in turn, really need your help...and we need our loved son and brother, Ilya. With more eyes on the road we should be able to find him. We miss Ilya very much, please help us.
